Troutdale Art Center has the space in a vibrant studio/gallery environment!
Workshop Information Sheet
TAC is open 11-4 Wednesday through Sunday, and workshops are absolutely welcome while we're open to the public. Note that we have gallery art throughout. Visitors are informed at entry that there is a workshop going on AND that everything is open to them. If you’re doing guided meditations or something else that will be awkward to your participants to have someone walk in on, open hours may not be a good choice.
If evenings, Monday or Tuesday, or no visitors works better for what you're doing, one of our permanent artists will be here to open, to be (unobtrusively) here and available through your workshop, and to lock up during the times we are closed to the public.
The workshop area is in the "back" (bridge side) half of the building. We always have four worktables and sixteen chairs set up for easy Walk In And Go space. You are welcome to set up easels | add individual work surfaces | use whatever additional floor space is needed in the area.
Additional tables and chairs are readily available. See Pricing below.
* We provide the space, tables and covers (including clear over-covers, so splash away), chairs, and setup support to have the space as you wish it when you get here.
* We have a bluetooth projector available if needed.
* Bathroom and utility sink in the space.
* Tea / hot chocolate / cider service available without cost.
* We will not book another workshop within the hour before - or the hour after - yours. If you book 1-3, you have parameters of 12:30 setup and 3:30 clear.

Your workshop will be on our website and Linktree if you get us image and content at least ten days prior.
Add "TroutdaleArtCenter" as co-host on your facebook Event and we will add your workshop event to our Page.
Add @troutdaleartcenter to social posts so we know they’re there to share to our page.
Get us posters / postcards, and we will market in-house. You are responsible for the balance of physical distribution.
Get us image and content by the 22nd of the month and you will be in our newsletter.
Pricing: Open Hours: 4 tables / 20 chairs
Wednesday through Friday 10-5
Baseline is $50 during our normal operation hours , with an hour before 11:00 open and an hour after 4:00 close included in “normal operation hours”.
Additional hours during that time are + $15 for the third hour and +10 for the fourth through 6th hour.
Additional hours before 10a and after 5p are $20.
Pricing: Closed hours: 4 tables / 20 chairs
8a - 10a and 4p - 9p Wednesday through Sunday | 9a - 9p Monday and Tuesday
Baseline $60 for up to two hours, plus $20 per additional hour.
Setup and teardown: 30 minutes for set up before start and another 30 for teardown included.
Additional tables are + $10 to help cover setup and reset. Extra chairs are available at no additional charge.
Payment and Cancellation
Payment will be invoiced when booked and is due 7 days prior to workshop date (due on receipt if booked inside that window). If payment is not received by invoice due date, we will attempt to contact you before cancelling the booking.
Your cancellation window on a paid booking is two business days prior to your workshop date [i.e. a Saturday May 11 date would have to be cancelled by Thursday, May 9], and your payment will carry forward to another workshop date.
Q&A
What if I only want one hour?
Cost will be $40 during Open Hours / $60 during closed hours.
Do we have to stay in the workshop area during closed hours?
No. You have the run of the place. Wander at will.
What happens if someone from my workshop wants to buy something?
We will happily sell it to them. All the galleries will be open, and we encourage you to encourage your guests to engage with the art. We'll even share commission with you on any sales :).
What happens if I have to cancel for weather?
We don’t mess with weather. Troutdale has a tendency to be significantly trickier than anywhere in Portland Metro, and it’s likely that we’ll be calling you to cancel before you call us.
If either of us cancel for reasons of safety for the people who come here, there is no financial jeopardy either direction. We will reschedule and fulfill the time. If it’s a date-dependent event you will not be rescheduling, we wlll refund. We will post on the closure on our social | you are responsible for individual notification to your attendees.
Do you have any guidelines or expectations on the pricing of my workshop?
Nope. You price however makes you glad you’re offering the workshop, and under your parameters of what makes you glad. It’s your space for the time booked.
Is there any difference in pricing between individual workshops and weekly recurring workshops?
There is not.
What dates are available to book?
We will book up to twelve workshops a month. When is flexible.
